Radiation Therapist
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Pay Rate: $60/hr $63/hr
Contract: 15 Weeks
Schedule: Varied shifts; may include rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
Experience: Minimum 2 years
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for an oncology assignment in Hilo, HI. This role supports radiation oncology services by performing treatments, simulations, treatment planning support, and specialized treatment aid fabrication under physician direction.
Responsibilities
Perform radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions
Support simulations, treatment planning, and treatment setup preparation
Operate Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator equipment
Treat approximately 25 30 patients per day
Support treatment modalities including 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electrons
Provide care across various treatment sites in a comprehensive cancer center setting
Assess patient needs and deliver age-appropriate, safe, and compassionate care
Requirements
Active Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a Radiation Therapist required by start
ARRT Radiation Therapy certification required
BLS/BCLS required
Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible imaging/radiation therapy experience
Must be proficient with Varian TrueBeam and ARIA
Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
Candidate must arrive the Thursday before start for Friday employee health appointment
