Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Line Dancing Instructor to inspire participants through lively dance sessions that promote physical activity, social engagement, and creative expression. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead engaging dance classes that celebrate movement, music, and community spirit. Duties
- Lead dynamic line dancing classes that teach fundamental steps, choreography, and rhythm to diverse groups of participants
- Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate musical instruments, dance techniques, and creative arts elements
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe, respectful, and motivating atmosphere
- Adapt instruction to accommodate different skill levels, including beginners and advanced dancers
- Incorporate elements of theater, choreography, and performance arts into dance routines
- Collaborate with other instructors or program coordinators to design special events or themed dance sessions
- Maintain attendance records and provide feedback to support participants’ progress in dance instruction
Qualifications
- Experience working with children & seniors in arts or dance education
- Strong background in choreography, dance instruction, or performing arts such as ballet or theater
- Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for diverse learners
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to teach visual & performing arts with a focus on creative expression through movement
- Skills in teaching music, musical instruments, or singing are advantageous
- Background in culinary arts, sewing, photography, or other creative disciplines is beneficial but not required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
