Job Summary
Nash Distribution is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail oriented warehouse associate located near Nashville, TN. Assists the Warehouse Manager with counter sales, unloading materials, stocking inventory, and packaging orders.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy advice, and ensure positive interactions through clear, professional communication
- Utilize structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently. Follow company safety policies and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a motivated, productive store environment. Support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Collects packing slips for every order from Order Fulfillment team electronically
- Packs products in an optimal manner and prepares them for shipping
- Transports pallets to loading dock to be picked up by freight carriers
- Helps load packages into freight and small package trucks
- Unloads incoming materials from suppliers and stocks warehouse
- Helps maintain the warehouse, utilizing space efficiently and keeping it organized and clean, and safe
- Maintain offices, restroom areas, and areas outside of the building designated for our facility
- Helps count inventory for monthly inventory reconciliation
- Prepares local orders for pickup
Competences
- Ability to work with warehouse equipment and to frequently stand, walk, and lift products
- Lift product (50lbs. or more)
- Ability to work in a face-paced, physically demanding environment
- Results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
- Takes ownership of responsibilities and has excellent work ethic
- Ability to pack products efficiently
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications; experience working in an inventory management database is a plus
Required Experience
- 1-2 years of warehouse and order fulfillment experience
- Office management experience is a plus
- Forklift Certification is a plus
- Acumatica ERP experience is a plus
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the warehouse site. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally performed in outside weather conditions.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 75 pounds, and occasionally lift items up to 120 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position is 40 hours or more per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Required Education and Experience
High school Diploma or equivalent
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
- Successfully pass a background check.
