Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. Our ideal candidate will be able to perform duties checking patients in and scheduling patients (front desk) and will be able to take vital signs and get an initial intake of patients (back office). Duties will include being able to run basic lab tests as well, and administering vaccines. Daily light cleaning will be required (including vomit and urine).
We are looking for someone who is able to work part time 20-25 hours a week, weekdays 3pm - 8pm and some Saturdays 12pm-5pm.
Duties
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and checking insurance eligibility.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Ensure that the clinic or office environment is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified medical assistant (or has worked as a medical assistant for at least 1 year)
- Minimum 1 year prior experience in a medical setting
- Knowledge of medical administrative systems, electronic health records (EHR), or appointment scheduling system.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Being comfortable interacting with children.
