Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety protocols.
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing excellent customer service.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations.
- Assist with food preparation and serving light snacks or baked goods as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage crafting.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for smooth transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests.
- Effective time management to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales processing.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, proper food handling practices, and serving protocols.
