Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and preparation of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, pouring, and finishing
- Support concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete pumping activities to ensure precise placement according to plans
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute tasks accurately
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist with masonry work, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, stucco application, and tile laying as needed
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe environment for everyone on site
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a related trades environment is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, cutting, and pouring techniques
- Experience with rebar installation, formwork construction, and schematics comprehension
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and commercial driving if applicable
- Understanding of construction safety regulations and commitment to safety protocol adherence
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of manual labor
- Construction experience in areas such as renovation, restoration, framing carpentry, masonry or roofing is a plus
