Are you a trained musician, performer, or music educator who believes in the transformative power of music from the very beginning of life?
At Palms Day School, we are seeking a highly skilled, creative Music Educator to design and lead a dynamic early childhood music program at one of our school locations. This is a part-time, specialist role ideal for individuals who are passionate about their craft and inspired to share it with young children in a meaningful, developmentally appropriate way.
Rooted in our Reggio Emilia–inspired philosophy, we view music as a language—one that empowers children to express, explore, connect, and create.
About the Role:

- Collaborate with classroom educators to meaningfully integrate music into broader learning experiences
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation, confidence, and self-expression
- Curate and maintain instruments and materials that inspire exploration and creativity
- Document and share children’s musical experiences with families and the school community
- Lead or support special performances, showcases, or school events
- Maintain alignment with DCF and NAEYC standards
- Participate in occasional meetings and professional development opportunities
- Other duties as assigned
