Position Summary
SMART Local 36 is seeking experienced Architectural Sheet Metal Installers to join our union contractors throughout the St. Louis area. This position focuses on the installation of high end exterior roofing and façade systems including architectural panels, coping, flashing, custom metal, and related components.
We are looking for craftsmen who take pride in precision, safety, and delivering work that stands out.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
- Install architectural sheet metal systems including panels, trim, flashing, and coping
- Perform layout and field fabrication as required
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and job site equipment
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades to maintain schedule
- Ensure all installations meet quality standards and project specifications
- Maintain a safe and organized job site
Qualifications
- Proven experience installing architectural sheet metal systems
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Skilled with layout, measuring, and field fabrication techniques
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Commitment to safety and craftsmanship
