Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options while adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Take accurate orders from guests and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks with a friendly attitude.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including proper food handling and beverage storage practices.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, billing, and cash handling efficiently.
- Assist in developing new beverage recipes and enhancing existing drink menus to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine selections, craft beers, and cocktail options to enhance guest experience.
- Support bar management by maintaining stock levels, rotating inventory, and reporting shortages or issues promptly.
- Follow all food safety regulations and health standards to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff.
Skills
- Previous experience in bartending or serving within fine dining or casual restaurant settings is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong knowledge of beverage recipe development, brewing processes, wine varieties, and cocktail techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with an approachable demeanor; ability to engage with diverse guests confidently.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar orders efficiently during busy hours.
- Experience with food safety practices, food handling, catering, banquet service, or retail math is a plus.
- A passion for hospitality combined with a willingness to learn about new beverages, food industry trends, and service techniques.
