What You'll Do
As a Supported Employment Specialist, you'll work alongside people as they pursue competitive employment in the community.
Your responsibilities include:
- Building trusting relationships with the people you support.
- Developing partnerships with local businesses.
- Matching people with jobs that fit their interests and strengths.
- Assisting with resumes, applications, and interview preparation.
- Providing job coaching and workplace support.
- Helping employers create successful, inclusive workplaces.
No two days are the same. One day you may be meeting with a business owner, the next coaching someone through an interview or celebrating a successful job placement.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Believes in the potential of every person.
- Enjoys building relationships and connecting with the community.
- Is organized, dependable, and self-motivated.
- Communicates effectively with a variety of people.
- Works well independently while being part of a collaborative team.
- Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
This Position Is Great For:
- Students or graduates in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Education, Sociology, Rehabilitation, Communications, or related fields.
- People with experience in education, direct support, job coaching, case management, workforce development, customer service, or community outreach.
- Anyone who enjoys helping others achieve their goals.
