Duties
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure their safety and well-being
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum and developmental activities focused on early childhood education and childhood development principles
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic health needs while adhering to pediatric first aid and CPR guidelines
- Observe children’s behavior to identify any special needs or concerns related to disabilities or developmental delays
- Follow mandated reporting laws by documenting incidents or concerns related to child safety or well-being
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings
- Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (preferably pediatric first aid)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members about children's progress and needs
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and health & safety regulations for childcare providers
- Passion for caregiving, nurturing young minds, and supporting early childhood growth
