HomeGrownPizza in Morgantown, WV is looking for an energized individual (or individuals) to join our front of house team. We are a small locally owned restaurant (not a chain) with a fantastic customer base. We offer great earning potential for our front of house representatives, as we pay above a typical “waitress wage” plus tips.
We need someone friendly, punctual (with reliable transportation), and organized to fill this position immediately. Important to note that we are looking for candidates that are available over typical WVU breaks and summer.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls from customers placing pick-up orders;
- Ensure dining room guests are seated at clean and properly set up tables;
- Assist customers in ordering food by having a thorough knowledge of all menu items;
- Maintain a positive and calm demeanor during periods of high volume to keep things flowing between customers and kitchen staff;
- Have availability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays;
- Handle credit card and cash transactions safely and securely;
- Prepare/plate desserts and other food dishes when necessary;
- Maintain a clean dining room by dusting, sweeping, and vacuuming as required;
- Stock items as needed (pizza boxes, bottled drinks, fountain drink supplies, salad dressings, etc.)
- Ensure restrooms are stocked and cleaned as needed;
- Performs other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Able to work well in a team-based environment;
- Have or obtain a Food Handler’s card;
- Stand for long periods of time;
- Lift and carry a maximum of 30 pounds;
- Work at a pace consistent with changing business volume and demands;
- Have strong interpersonal skills and a friendly attitude;
- Have reliable transportation.
