Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and identify dietary needs, including those with specific medical conditions or dietary restrictions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate medical nutrition therapy (MNT), weight management, and specialized interventions such as tube feeding or nutrition support.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and therapists—to coordinate patient care and ensure consistent nutritional strategies.
- Provide nutrition counseling and health coaching to motivate patients toward healthier lifestyle choices and sustainable dietary habits.
- Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting care plans based on diagnostic evaluations, clinical responses, and nutritional analysis.
- Document all interventions accurately within electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Supervise and mentor dietetic interns or junior staff members, fostering professional development within the dietary department.
- Manage complex cases involving chronic diseases such as geriatrics, diabetes, or cardiovascular conditions, ensuring comprehensive support.
- Stay current with advances in clinical nutrition, physiology knowledge, and industry best practices to enhance service quality.
- Assist in training hospital or long-term care staff on specialized nutritional procedures like tube feeding protocols or dietary modifications.
MUST HAVE: Trained in completion of NFPE
Qualifications: 1 year of recent full-time experience (within past 5 years) as a RD in acute care, nursing home or inpatient rehab/LTACH setting
