Position Overview
The WRAP Specialist leads the implementation of the Workforce Resource Assistance Program (WRAP), providing confidential, one-on-one support to employees at participating workplaces across Lee County. The goal: to help individuals overcome everyday barriers so they can stay employed, grow financially, and thrive.
In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted, neutral resource for employees while also helping employers strengthen communication, improve retention, and build a more stable workforce. You’ll be backed by the LCEDG team and a strong network of community partners to connect people with the right resources at the right time.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide confidential, one-on-one support to employees navigating challenges such as transportation, childcare, housing, and financial stress
- Maintain regular on-site presence at participating workplaces and connect with new hires during onboarding
- Participate in employer orientations to understand available benefits and resources
- Connect employees with local services and support systems
- Facilitate financial literacy sessions and other workshops based on employee needs
- Support administration of the Emergency Revolving Loan Fund (ERLF)
- Track interactions and outcomes while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Identify trends and share general insights (non-identifiable) with employer leadership
- Collaborate with LCEDG and community partners to strengthen service delivery
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build trust, listen actively, and maintain confidentiality
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently or on a team
- Adaptable and comfortable working in both professional and community settings
- Basic computer skills and ability to document interactions
- Experience in workforce development, human services, education, or a related field is helpful but not required
