We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Wide Format Sign and Graphics Production Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the physical production, finishing, and quality control of wide-format signs, banners, vehicle wraps, and custom graphics. The ideal candidate has experience operating wide-format printers and laminators, engraving, CNC with a sharp eye for color and detail, and excellent problem-solving skills to bring creative concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Production & Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain wide-format digital printers (UV, or latex), laminators, and digital flatbed cutters/routers.
- Finishing Work: Perform weeding, taping, laminating, mounting graphics to various substrates (e.g., foam core, PVC, aluminum, acrylic).
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet high-quality standards, matching client proofs for color accuracy, alignment, and overall presentation.
- File Preparation: Review and occasionally tweak digital pre-press files using design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Onyx, etc.) to ensure accurate print output.
- Inventory & Maintenance: Monitor material inventory levels (vinyl, substrates, inks) and perform routine daily/weekly maintenance on production equipment.
- Installation Support: Assist with occasional in-house or on-site graphics installation (e.g., wall graphics, window decals, dimensional lettering) as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a sign shop, commercial print environment, or wide-format production role preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with wide-format RIP software and finishing equipment. Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional eye for detail, color matching, and alignment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and comfortably handle large-format substrates and heavy rolls of vinyl.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
