Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Math + Reading Tutor who holds a valid teaching certification to inspire and support young learners in developing essential skills. Responsibilities
- Design and implement dynamic lesson plans tailored to individual student needs in math and reading, incorporating curriculum development best practices.
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions that promote active participation and comprehension.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a positive, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies to meet evolving educational goals.
- Communicate clearly with parents and guardians about student achievements, challenges, and next steps.
- Maintain organized records of tutoring sessions, student progress reports, and lesson plans.
Requirements
- Valid teaching certification with experience in elementary education or early childhood education.
- Proven classroom management skills with the ability to engage children in learning activities.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and working with diverse learners including those with special education needs.
- Experience with tutoring or teaching reading and math at the elementary level, including preschool or early childhood settings.
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and tools used for educational purposes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
