We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead the daily operations of our inpatient behavioral health treatment center. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven healthcare leader with a strong background in residential behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while driving operational excellence.
A clinical license is not required for this position; however, licensed behavioral health professionals in Arkansas are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and oversight of facility operations, clinical support services, and administrative departments.
- Foster a culture centered on patient care, accountability, teamwork, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, Joint Commission/CARF standards, and all applicable federal regulations.
- Partner with clinical leadership to support quality improvement initiatives and positive patient outcomes.
- Oversee staffing, budgeting, census growth, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with admissions, business development, and outreach teams to support sustainable census growth.
- Develop and mentor department leaders while promoting employee engagement and retention.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Behavioral Health, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of executive or senior operational leadership experience in an inpatient behavioral health, psychiatric, or residential substance use treatment setting.
- Demonstrated success managing facility operations, budgets, regulatory compliance, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of Joint Commission/CARF standards and behavioral healthcare regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Clinical licensure in Arkansas (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) is a plus but not required.
