RHW Management, Inc., a national hotel management company with hotels in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, is seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance to lead maintenance operations at the Fairfield Inn & Suites / TownePlace Suites Kansas City Airport. In this role, you will help ensure smooth hotel operations, meet maintenance goals, and exceed guest expectations in accordance with Marriott standards.
We are seeking candidates with at least two years of experience as a Director of Maintenance. Preferred candidates will have maintenance leadership experience with a Marriott property or other hotel national chain. Strong leadership and communication skills are required, along with proficiency in preventive and repair maintenance. You will serve as a key leader and role model on a positive, guest-focused team committed to maximizing guest satisfaction and meeting IHG standards.

Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms
Perform preventive maintenance in public areas
Perform preventive maintenance on major equipment
Document work performed on all major equipment
Maintain logs of all required temperatures
Manage pest control
Maintain fire safety logs and fire panel information
Manage key control
Keep supplies and tools stocked, organized, and in working condition
Hire, train, coach, discipline, and terminate hourly maintenance technicians with General Manager approval
Train employees on fire safety and emergency procedures
Respond to all guest maintenance requests
Comply with and enforce RHW and IHG guidelines and standards
Interact with guests and respond to their questions
Maintain a flexible work schedule for all department team members
Maintain accurate records of all preventive maintenance
Operate the department within budget guidelines
Be available for on-call work and accessible by cell phone unless otherwise excused
Organize weekly maintenance department meetings
Participate in RHW- and hotel-sponsored events
Serve on the Safety Committee
Train employees on proper chemical safety
Attend staff meetings
Assist other departments as needed or assigned
Run outside errands as needed
Develop and maintain rapport with other RHW hotels
Assist with renovation organization
Maintain exterior property grounds
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
