Custom Millwork Estimator
Position Summary
GR Mitchell has a long history supporting builders, remodelers, and homeowners in Pennsylvania and beyond including the fabrication, delivery, and installation of hand-crafted millwork from our architectural mill. This growing millwork division is seeking a new estimator!
In this role you’ll be asked to collaborate with GR Mitchell’s sales team, existing mill staff, and directly with customers to analyze drawings and specifications to determine the materials required and necessary labor hours to fabricate and occasionally install a wide variety of millwork projects. Typical projects include large-scale custom trim, the reproduction of historic trim, custom built-ins, unique door fabrication, and more.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of woods, millwork projects, and demonstrate prior experience successfully estimating the material and time required to process lumber components using industrial saws, jointers, planers, etc. The ability to read and execute upon drawings/blueprints is essential to the performance of this role.
GR Mitchell’s new custom millwork estimator must also be able to effectively use a Windows based PC, including established business software (namely GRM’s ERP system). However, if this candidate prefers to complete estimates by hand, rather than with a CAD (or similar) program. This full-time position is based out of 55 Refton Rd, Refton, PA with occasional demands at GR Mitchell’s headquarters located at 14 Beaver Valley Pike, Willow Street, PA. Local travel to potential and confirmed project jobsites unlikely, but possible.
Hourly rate $28 - 35 based upon experience.
