EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports the safe and efficient upkeep of roads and bridges by operating essential equipment and performing important labor tasks. As a PennDOT CDL Operator A, you will perform the following duties:

Equipment Operation: Operate trucks, loaders, and construction equipment on assigned maintenance tasks

Tool Use: Use motorized and non motorized tools to complete tasks such as cutting brush, cleaning culverts, and repairing barriers

Traffic Control: Perform flagging duties to guide and protect traffic during maintenance work

Safety Practices: Follow safety procedures, report hazards, and use protective equipment to reduce risks

Equipment Care: Complete inspections, make field adjustments, and perform basic repairs to keep equipment in proper condition
Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Work hours are subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs.

This position may require travel, overtime, and shift work.
