Childcare - Preschool Teacher (1+ years experience, Full Time)
Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of young children? First Lutheran Children’s Programs is looking for a patient, fun loving and compassionate Preschool teacher who has experience working with children ages 3 to 4 years old. The First Lutheran Children’s Program teacher will help lead developmentally appropriate activities that encourage healthy, physical, emotional, and social development for children.
Responsibilities:
- Assist co-teacher in planning age appropriate activities/lessons.
- Foster a classroom environment of safety and respect.
- Perform daily cleaning routines to keep the classroom and facility sanitary and safe.
- Prepare and serve snacks and meals throughout the day.
- Keep parents informed and updated on their child’s progress and daily activities.
Requirements:
- BS or AS in Early Childhood Education
- Will accept Child Development Credential (CDA) with a High School Diploma - for the right candidate
- 1+ years of experience working in Child Development or a related field
- Ability to work creatively and flexibly
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Experience working in a play-based environment
