American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Intermediate Care position requiring at least 2 years of MS or IMCU experience and the ability to care for a diverse patient population on night shifts.

Step Down / Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in a hospital setting
-
Night shift: 19:00–07:30
-
Every 3rd weekend or every other weekend (EOW) based on department needs
-
Holiday coverage required (EOH)

May be required to float within skill set to other units onsite or to sister sites within 40 miles
-
Patient population includes stroke, cardiac, post-op (ortho, GU, GYN, general surgery), and general medical patients
-
Cardiac drip experience preferred
-
EMR: Epic (experience required)
-
Active WI or compact RN license currently in hand
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both must be AHA-issued)

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or IMCU experience required

Adaptability to care for a wide variety of patient types, including cardiac drip management
-
Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address

Two professional references required for consideration

Copy of Driver's License required for consideration

Full SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

13-week contract

Local candidates are accepted but are subject to a reduced pay rate based on proximity to the facility

Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to assignment start

Any disciplinary actions on licensure require completion of a FACIS Questionnaire with supporting board documents
