Medical scribe needed for our busy Pain Management and Orthopedic office at the Yonkers, NY location.
This position is for a scribe, you will be working closely with the physician and patients.
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 1-year experience in the medical field. Must be able to commit to 1-year of full-time employment. Great opportunity for someone with a strong interest in the medical field. You will work closely with a physician and gain invaluable insight and experience in the patient care process. The ideal candidate will provide the highest quality customer service to patients, adhere to practice protocols and policies, and effectively manage the volume of work without allowing quality to become compromised. Scribe experience preferred.
You must be available Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There is also an opportunity for some light work from home on Tuesday and Thursday.
Duties include, but not limited to:
· Charting Physician- Patient office encounters during consultations or medical examinations on our custom EMR program
· Locate and obtain a patient's medical history, recent laboratory and radiology results
· Facilitate diagnostic orders.
· Prepare exam rooms and assist during physician exam.
· Perform clerical task as needed by the physician including faxing, phone calls, referral letters.
Requirements:
· Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of Orthopedics preferred.
· Excellent computer skills Macintosh proficient
· Impeccable verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent organizational skills
· Good bedside manner as you will be working with the doctor and directly with patients
MUST BE BILINGUAL IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH
