American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity MS/Tele position requiring strong telemetry experience and FL or compact RN licensure.

Work in a mixed high-acuity Med/Surg Tele, Cardiac Tele, and PCU unit within an acute care hospital
-
1:6 patient ratio required, with 1:5 ratio experience considered if clearly stated on application
-
Day shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating required within scope
-
Charting completed in Meditech
-
No block scheduling available
-
Charge RN duties may be requested occasionally but not on a regular basis

Active FL or compact RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of experience in MS/Tele, Cardiac Tele, or PCU specialty required

Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS

Strong telemetry experience required
-
Rapid Response team experience required
-
Total joint replacement experience required
-
Community hospital experience preferred
-
Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility

Provide care for a mixed high-acuity patient population including MS/Tele, Cardiac Tele, and PCU/stepdown cases

Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and utilize both on-unit and remote telemetry monitoring

Any scrub color permitted

Free parking available in unrestricted spaces

Mandatory attendance for clinical orientation week, including 5 shifts totaling 36-40 hours
-
Plan for at least 4 hours to complete required training modules prior to start date
-
Holiday coverage required: if 1-2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work 1 evening shift and 1 holiday; if 3 holidays fall within the assignment, must work 1 evening shift and 2 holidays

No RTO permitted during the first or last week of the assignment

Will be notified if working with COVID-positive patients
