Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Office Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service at the front desk
- Schedule appointments efficiently using EAGLESOFT dental practice management software
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and other health plans, ensuring accurate billing and coding with CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and attention to detail
- Handle phone inquiries using multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management
- Assist with billing procedures, including dental collection efforts and documentation review for accuracy
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing dental office supplies
Experience
- Prior dental office experience is required
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and dental billing procedures
- Experience with insurance verification processes and Medicare documentation is advantageous
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills (10 key typing)
- Proven ability to provide outstanding patient service in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Familiarity with dental terminology and clinic experience enhances your fit for this role
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of dental front desk experience using Eaglesoft (required)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental office
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
- Knowledge of PPO, HMO, Medicare and Medicaid Plans
- Insurance billing and A/R experience
