N&S Tractor is seeking a skilled Agriculture Equipment Service Mechanic to join our service team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining agricultural equipment while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and committed to providing efficient, accurate repairs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine-related issues on agricultural equipment.
- Perform repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance according to manufacturer specifications.
- Remove, install, disassemble, and reassemble equipment components with minimal supervision.
- Ensure repairs are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with warranty standards.
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly with management and customers.
- Complete all required service documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional service.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians and provide guidance when appropriate.
- Participate in ongoing product and technical training to stay current with equipment and technology.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Five to ten years of related mechanical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of agricultural equipment, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, technical bulletins, and parts documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn company software.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
