Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-time Mid Level Provider , PA or NP to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and specialty practices. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set and experience in multiple areas of medicine, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations to determine health status.
- Administer medications and treatments, including IV infusions, botulinum toxin treatments, and dermal fillers.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care in settings such as acute care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and hospice.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively.
- Engage in critical care management, including triage and emergency medicine procedures.
- Provide education and health coaching to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives as needed and contribute to quality improvement efforts within the practice.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office or clinical setting; familiarity with Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is preferred.
- Strong background in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine; Level I or II trauma center experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in performing procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, phlebotomy, catheterization, and spinal taps.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding practices.
- Experience with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential.
