AK Material Handling is searching for an individual that wants to grow. AKMHS is a growing business that sells and distributes Material Handling equipment and supplies. Pallet Rack Products. Our customers are businesses in the areas of manufacturing, distribution, wholesale and retail businesses. This role is responsible for helping the team with receiving, stocking and shipping of new and used inventory/materials. This role must have 4+ Year of experience in a warehouse with experience moving and packing large and small items.
Duties:
- Picks orders based on customer specifications and understands how material should be stacked and or packaged using a Tablet. Load and Unload trucks inside and outside.
- Assists with inventory accuracy by properly documenting movements of materials and working through processes and working with purchasing.
- Maintains forklift safety and workplace safety.
- Ability to work in an environment that is all Apple/Mac based products.
- Attends meetings and is part of the communication in the warehouse and with peers and customers.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and securing of items of very large skids and heavy products. Flatbeds and LTL.
- Performs routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while operating the forklift.
- Use a variety of equipment, such as pallet jacks and lift trucks, to transport materials within the warehouse
Experience:
- 4+ Years previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment and has past experience as a lead and or supervisor.
- Knowledge of basic math skills for inventory management and order picking
- Familiarity with mechanical operations of forklifts and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with the role
- Proficiency in using pallet jacks and other equipment commonly used in warehouse operations
Note: A valid forklift operator certification may be required depending on the specific job requirements.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
