Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly, energetic demeanor and manage waitlist or reservations efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment they arrive
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand, waiting area, and dining spaces
- Assist servers by clearing empty dishes, refilling water glasses, and resetting tables promptly
- Support food runners and servers with timely delivery of dishes to ensure smooth service flow
- Monitor dining room for guest needs, respond to inquiries with clear communication and positive attitude
- Uphold food safety standards by handling dishes carefully and maintaining hygiene protocols at all times
Skills
- Previous host/hostess or busser experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for handling seating arrangements or reservations
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, waitlists, and guest requests efficiently
- Familiarity with food safety practices and restaurant operations standards
- Ability to handle phone etiquette professionally when managing reservations or inquiries
- Hospitality experience that enhances guest relations and supports team collaboration
