Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Foreman to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across various construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that HVAC systems meet all safety standards, technical specifications, and project timelines. Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise HVAC installation teams on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, including OSHA and federal construction safety regulations.
- Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents to accurately interpret HVAC system requirements.
- Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 or HeavyBid to align project milestones with HVAC activities.
- Oversee quality control processes by inspecting installations, conducting system testing with tools such as ohmmeters, and ensuring compliance with blueprint specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed construction schedules and budgets and manage contracts for the HVAC scope of work.
- Supervise the review of construction drawings and schematics for accuracy; interpret technical details for installation teams.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam for project documentation, progress tracking, and communication among stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety standards, and address any issues promptly.
- Lead team management efforts by managing multiple subcontractors or in-house technicians, ensuring timely completion of tasks within budget constraints.
- Assist in construction estimating and scheduling by interpreting technical drawings and reviewing project plans for pipelines and other HVAC infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy construction management with a focus on HVAC systems; prior supervisory experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction management software, including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and use measuring tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations, such as OSHA standards, and pipeline safety protocols.
- Experience managing teams in a construction management role with excellent leadership skills.
- Skilled in construction scheduling, project coordination, budgeting, and contract management related to HVAC projects.
- Construction site experience with complex installations, such as pipelines and large-scale HVAC systems, is essential.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and quality control procedures for mechanical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and supervise installation in accordance with schematics while maintaining high safety standards.
