Job Summary:
Salas O’Brien is looking for a Junior Structural Engineer to join our engineering team in New York, NY. This is a full-time, in-office position in a fast-paced multi-disciplined team environment.
Our clients include educational, health care, private sector commercial and public sector agencies. Work will involve design, analysis, and project management duties. You will be working directly with our Engineering and Architectural departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Structural design for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
- Calculations for loads and structural elements.
- Drawing plans and details using AutoCAD or Revit.
- Site visits to perform surveys and check construction progress.
- Coordination with architects and project managers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or Structural Engineering (BSSE).
- 0-3 years of experience.
- EIT certification (or active plans to obtain it).
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or structural analysis software.
- Good written and verbal skills for teamwork.
Location: New York City
Compensation & Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, project experience and qualifications.
