Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity, security breaches, or safety hazards.
- Operate access control systems to authorize entry and exit for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor activity across different areas, ensuring the safety of all personnel and property.
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, following established emergency response procedures including fire safety, medical emergencies, and conflict resolution.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual occurrences for record-keeping and follow-up actions.
- Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques effectively while maintaining professionalism and ensuring safety for all parties involved.
Experience
- Prior experience in security or law enforcement is highly desirable; military background is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems confidently.
- Knowledge of security protocols including access control systems and loss prevention strategies.
- Skills in performing first aid procedures such as CPR and AED operation to assist during medical emergencies.
- Ability to handle physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with incident report writing, emergency response procedures, and conflict management techniques.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in high-pressure situations.
