American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neuro-ICU position in Nashville, TN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and an active TN or compact RN license.

16-bed Neuro-ICU unit within a hospital setting in Nashville, TN
-
Typical patient ratio is 2:1, with flexibility to 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity and staffing

Specialized equipment includes ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV1000
-
Documentation is performed in Meditech

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Minimum of 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule block
-
Self-scheduling is available to an extent, with manager adjustments to balance the schedule
-
Contract labor is first to float; travelers may be floated to med/surg as needed
-
Unit secretary support is available during day shift only; occasional nurse extern may assist as a tech
-
Active RN license — TN state license or compact RN license required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment)

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for ICU RNs

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required

Proficiency with ICU equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV1000
-
US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted

One professional reference required
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Procedures performed on the unit include central line insertions, arterial line insertions, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions

Navy scrub tops and bottoms are required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
