Outcast Doughnuts is looking for an Baker + Doughnut Fryer & Decorator to join our kitchen team.
This is a hands-on production position for someone who doesn't mind starting their day while everyone else is still asleep. Our morning production team is responsible for getting our doughnuts ready for the day ahead, so reliability and punctuality are absolutely essential.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll work across several areas of our morning production, including:
- Baking, cutting, and preparing dough and other menu ingredients
- Frying our signature doughnuts consistently and correctly
- Preparing fillings, glazes, toppings, and other components
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Following recipes, measurements, temperatures, cook times, and production procedures accurately
- Maintaining quality and consistency throughout each batch
- Keeping your workstation clean, organized, and food-safe
- Properly labeling, dating, rotating, and storing ingredients
- Monitoring product levels and communicating production needs
- Helping minimize waste and using ingredients responsibly
- Cleaning equipment, tools, fryers, work surfaces, and production areas
- Jumping in wherever needed to help the kitchen get ready for service
THE BIG ONE: YOU HAVE TO BE GOOD WITH A 2:00 AM START TIME.
Not occasionally. Not "I can probably make that work." This is an early-morning production position, and we need someone who can reliably maintain that schedule.
The upside? You get a huge portion of your day back while the rest of the world is just getting started.
EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in baking, pastry, doughnut production, frying, decorating is strongly preferred.
You do need to be reliable, clean, coachable, detail-oriented, and willing to work.
