Flathead Special Education Cooperative is seeking a reliable, self-motivated individual to join our school operation as a Part-Time School Custodian & Grounds Maintenance worker. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all by maintaining both the inside and outside of our school facility. Position Details
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour (Approx. $800/month)
Hours: Part-time, approximately 2 hours per day
Flexible Schedule: Mornings (6:00 AM – 8:00 AM) or Evenings (after 4:30 PM).
Key Responsibilities
- You will oversee the overall upkeep of the school facility, splitting your focus between interior cleanliness and exterior maintenance:
- Interior Cleaning & Sanitation: Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, and common areas daily. Manage trash and recycling removal.
- Exterior & Grounds Upkeep: Maintain and clean building access areas, entryways, and walkways. Handle basic grounds management to keep the school exterior safe and presentable.
- Light Facility Maintenance: Perform routine safety checks, minor repairs, window cleaning, basic floor care, and touch-up painting as needed.
- Event Support: Assist with occasional setup and takedown for school events.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven track record in custodial, janitorial, or facility maintenance roles.
- Grounds Knowledge: Experience with basic outdoor grounds management and exterior upkeep.
- Familiarity with standard sanitation and safety protocols (essential for a school environment).
- Ability to work efficiently and responsibly without direct supervision.
- Hands-on experience with basic maintenance tools. Bonus points if you have specialized floor care experience!
