Job description:
Monteverde’s Produce Distribution is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality. You will operate warehouse equipment to build and load orders. An order picker must always be on time and able to work long hours on their feet. Must be strong with an ability to “pick up” on small details. We expect you to be “picky” when it comes to ensuring the quality of orders.
Duties
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to specifications.
- Utilize handheld scanners or other technology to track inventory and ensure accuracy.
- Efficiently use an electric pallet jack to assist in selecting orders
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with orders to the supervisor promptly.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
- Build pallets with orders and position them to loading docks
- Wrap orders before loading on trucks
- Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions
- Adhere to health and safety policies and quality standardsRequirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 80 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
Work Days:
- Sunday thru Friday with every Saturday off and a day off during the week.
- Sunday start time is 3:30 pm; Monday thru Friday start time is 5:00 pm
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
