Job Title: 5 Axis CNC Machinist/OperatorJob Description
We are seeking skilled 5 Axis CNC Machinists/Operators for openings on all shifts, specifically for 3, 4, and 5 axis machines. This role involves setting up and operating a variety of CNC machines to produce precision parts. Candidates will work on either the 2nd or 3rd shifts, with hours as follows: 2nd shift: Monday-Thursday, 4:15pm-2:45am and 3rd shift: Friday-Sunday, 4am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities-
Calculate dimensions or tolerances using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and portable CMM or FARO.

Machine parts to specifications using 5 & 3 axis machines.

Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools for precision machining operations.

Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines as per setup documentation.

Measure, examine, or test completed parts to check for defects and ensure conformance using precision instruments.

Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.

Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.

Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine product conformance.

Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.

Diagnose machine tool malfunctions and determine need for adjustments or repairs.

Consult with engineering, supervisory, or inspection personnel to verify technical information.

Fit and assemble fixtures and cutters to make or repair customer products.

Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.

Separate scrap waste and related materials for reuse, recycling, or disposal.

Evaluate machining procedures and recommend changes for improved efficiency per Kaizen process.

Additional Skills & Qualifications-
High school diploma or equivalent.

1-2 years of experience running 3, 4, and 5 axis numerical control machines preferred.

Familiarity with Mazak, 4 Axis, 5 Axis, Set-up, G&M codes, Fanuc and Haas Controls, and the operation of specific models like Vortex i-630V.

Experience with tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
