A minority-owned business of approximately 30+ professionals, DIG is an architecture, interior design and graphic design firm with studios specializing in education, healthcare, senior housing and community-civic. We value diverse perspectives and a collaborative spirit, and we are seeking to expand our team to fill this Architecture position.
We are currently growing and looking to staff our Philadelphia office location. Candidates will begin in our New Brunswick office to fulfill the initial introductory period of the DIG experience.
Technical Skills/Expertise:

Assure design intent is achieved despite adaptations that may be needed due to project conditions
-
Collaborate with Project Manager/Project Architect and
Design Team -
Review and provide recommendations of key construction contract documents, including but not limited to: Bidding results, Construction contracts, Schedule of Values and project costs, Certification of Contractor Applications for Payment

Reviews and provides recommendations related to changes to Contract Value
-
Conduct routine construction inspections and final punch list
-
Provide certification of Substantial Completion

Familiarity with materials, construction techniques, code compliance, detailing

Ability to prioritize tasks based on construction sequence
Desired Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree from accredited program
-
Minimum of 10-15 years construction experience
-
Means to travel to job sites for construction progress and field survey investigation

Strong communication skills; verbal, written and drawn
-
Ability to negotiate with an eye toward Design Intent and moving the project forward in a timely fashion

Strong time-management skills to assure deadlines are met
-
Manage multiple on-going construction projects simultaneously
-
Review and process documentation related to the construction process of a project
-
Primary General Contractor contact, may have contact
w/ Client as well -
Proficiency with computer software programs including but not limited to: Word, Excel, Power Point, Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, ProCore and NewForma

Oversee coordination of submittals, RFIs and other deliverables between consultants and contractors

Maintain Submittal, RFI Logs to assure construction data arrives at job site in timely manner
