Q Nightclub is looking for friendly, dependable, and level-headed people to join our security team.
Our security team plays an essential role in creating a nightlife experience that is both exciting and safe. This position is about more than enforcing rules—it’s about welcoming guests, staying aware of what’s happening throughout the venue, preventing problems before they escalate, and responding calmly when support is needed.
We’re looking for people who enjoy working with the public, communicate well, and can maintain a positive attitude in a busy, high-energy environment. Previous nightlife, event, hospitality, or security experience is preferred but not required. A friendly demeanor, good judgment, and willingness to learn are essential.
Q Nightclub is regularly open Friday and Saturday nights, with additional shifts available when events are scheduled on other nights. Most shifts are approximately four to six hours.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and help create a safe, friendly, and inclusive environment
- Monitor entrances, exits, dance floors, bars, and other areas of the venue
- Check identification and assist with guest entry according to venue policies
- Remain alert to safety hazards, suspicious activity, and guests who may need assistance
- Enforce venue policies fairly, consistently, and respectfully
- Use calm, professional communication to de-escalate conflicts and resolve concerns
- Respond promptly to disturbances, medical situations, and other emergencies
- Work closely with bartenders, management, production staff, and fellow security team members
- Assist with crowd management during entry, closing, and high-volume periods
- Document incidents accurately and communicate important information to management
- Cooperate with emergency responders or law enforcement when necessary
- Help protect the safety of our guests, staff, performers, and property
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with a wide range of people
- Calm and level-headed, especially during stressful or unpredictable situations
- Dependable, punctual, and ready to contribute as part of a team
- Able to communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and coworkers
- Good situational awareness and sound judgment
- Comfortable working in a loud, crowded, and fast-paced nightlife environment
- Able to stand and move throughout the venue for the duration of a shift
- Available to work Friday and Saturday nights, including late-night hours
- Willing to work occasional additional nights based on the event schedule
- Nightlife, event, hospitality, or security experience is preferred but not required
- Conflict de-escalation, first aid, or CPR experience is a plus
