The Town of Dartmouth is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Laborer with the Department of Public Works. This position performs a variety of manual labor duties related to rubbish and recycling collection, disposal site operations, equipment cleaning, and general maintenance. Responsibilities include collecting and loading refuse and recyclables, assisting with the handling of large or heavy items, unloading materials at designated sites, operating hydraulic functions on refuse equipment, supporting compost site operations, assisting the public, and performing related maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, masonry, and carpentry work as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalency; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
