Culinary Leader – Seasonal Daytime Kitchen

Do Good Spirits is an award-winning craft distillery in the Catskills, known for top-tier spirits and a growing reputation for exceptional daytime fare. We’re looking for a Head chef — someone who can run the kitchen and lead our team this season.

You’ll be responsible for:
- Designing and updating a seasonal, creative, approachable menu
- Running the line during all services (hot & cold prep, plating, expediting)
- Leading set up and break down the kitchen each day
- Training and leading part-time team members
- Managing food ordering, inventory, and cost control
- Maintaining cleanliness and health code standards
- Creating a smooth, respectful, and team-driven kitchen culture
Schedule:
This is a daytime / early evening position — no late-night service or double shifts.
- Prep: Thursday
- Open:
- Friday: 11 AM – 7 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM – 7 PM
- Sunday: 11 AM – 6 PM
- Select Holiday Fridays/Mondays: 10 AM – 6 PM
Average 40 hours/week. This is a chef role with balance.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years cooking in a professional kitchen (required)
- Line leadership experience — you’ve run shifts and led a team before
- Comfortable managing prep lists, food orders, and kitchen systems
- Fast, clean, consistent on the line
- Organized, dependable, and calm under pressure
- Culinary degree is a plus, not required
- Serv Safe Certified
- Most importantly: you’re passionate about food and leading from the line
