What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency contacts as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and policy violations.

Monitor access points, restricted areas, and public spaces while verifying credentials, observing activity, and reporting security-related concerns according to post orders.

Carry authorized equipment in accordance with post requirements while maintaining a visible presence that may help to deter misconduct and support orderly operations throughout the location.
Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.

Possess an armed guard card or license.

Have a 40 caliber endorsement.

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
