Join our dynamic team as a Sales Associate at one of two locations of our liquor stores, both in Greenwood, and become the friendly face that helps customers discover the perfect products to meet their needs. In this energetic role, you will engage with diverse customers, provide exceptional service, and promote our retail offerings. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to a lively shopping environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sales skills while working in a fast-paced, rewarding setting. This is the perfect opportunity for a college student (over 21 years) or a young retiree. Store hours are 9:00 AM too 7:00 PM, and days are split into 2 shifts. Some heavy lifting is required as you'll be responsible for unloading delivery trucks.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that suit their needs.
- Promote retail sales by explaining product features, benefits, and current promotions.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using cash handling and cashiering procedures, including cash management and basic math calculations.
- Maintain knowledge of retail math and POS software to efficiently manage transactions and recordkeeping.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment, product displays, and accurate recordkeeping.
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Basic math skills including cash handling and retail math are essential for accurate transaction processing.
- Knowledge of financial software systems can be an advantage but training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude are vital for building rapport with customers.
- Experience with cash management is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is appreciated.
