In this energetic position, you will be responsible for applying fertilizers, soil amendments, and pest control solutions to promote optimal turf growth. Duties
- Safely operate and maintain lawn care equipment, including power spreaders and sprayers.
- Apply fertilizers, soil conditioners, herbicides, insecticides, and other chemical agents following strict safety protocols and label instructions.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the appropriate fertilization and pest control strategies based on turf health and soil conditions.
- Maintain detailed records of chemical applications, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with pesticide management regulations.
- Proficiency in pesticide management, chemical agent handling, and pest control methods with an understanding of entomology.
- Ability to follow sales strategies when recommending lawn care solutions to clients or team members.
- Experience with driving company vehicles or equipment safely across various terrains.
- Safely apply pesticides and herbicides according to nys regulatory guidelines and company protocols to control pests, weeds, and unwanted vegetation.
- Operate equipment efficiently for application tasks across various terrains and landscapes.
- Conduct inspections of properties to identify pest issues, assess risks, and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Maintain detailed records of pesticide applications, equipment maintenance, and safety procedures for compliance purposes.
- Drive company vehicles to different job sites while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards.
- Follow all safety protocols related to pesticide handling, storage, and disposal to protect yourself, colleagues, and the environment.
- Valid 3A pesticide applicator license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Experience in pest control, lawn care, or landscaping is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with land management practices and agricultural techniques.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to pesticide use and equipment maintenance.
