About the Role
As a Barista, you'll be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, providing outstanding customer service, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café. You'll work closely with the team to ensure every guest has a memorable experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, coffee, tea, and other café beverages to company standards.
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient customer service.
- Operate the POS system and accurately process customer transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work area.
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory as needed.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Promote menu items and seasonal specials.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience required (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Experience with espresso machines, grinders, and milk steaming techniques.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain one) preferred.
