Busy pediatric clinic looking for a medical assistant to work Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm with some Saturday mornings. Our clinic has been serving families of St. Louis Park and the surrounding area for over 80 years and we would love to add a kind, compassionate and hard working medical assistant to our team. Requirements:
Graduate of Medical Assistant Program/Associates Degree
Limited Scope X-ray license preferred
Willingness to learn new duties
Duties:
Collect and document vitals
Room pediatric patients
Administer vaccines and allergy shots
Phlebotomy
Lab tests on blood samples
Scheduling patient appointments
Collecting paperwork from parents
Administering hearing and vision tests
Reception work
Candidate should have a clear understanding of HIPAA standards and patient confidentiality. Candidate should also have the ability to work independently, demonstrate critical thinking skills and enjoy working with children. Experience with electronic medical records and x-ray desired.
