Looking for a person trained in AutoCAD with experience as a drafter to become a part of a growing design team. The ideal candidate will have excellent drafting skills, a strong desire to problem solve, make extra efforts to provide a quality design, accurate drawings, and not be afraid to ask questions.
The following skills are recommended:
- Two Year associate’s degree in a design related field; Architectural or Engineering
design or a Technical Associates from an Accredited Technical School would be
accepted.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must.
- Knowledge of industry standards in AutoCAD layering, but also be open to adapting
to our office standards.
- Knowledge of industry standards for texts, titles and basic design drawing layouts,
- Basic skills in reading and understanding architectural and MPE layouts to
coordinate design layouts for Fire Alarm Systems.
Experience and familiarity with online and paper submittals to AHJ’s throughout
Arizona is a plus.
- Excellent computer skills including exposure to MS Office applications (Outlook, Word
and Excel)
- Must have the ability to stay on task or ask questions without hesitation to provide
quality projects within budgeted costs and timelines scheduled.
- Excellent communication skills to help maintain team comradery and help build each other up and support team growth, as well as to coordinate with clients, general contractors, and project managers as needed.
- Experience in Fire Alarm, Security, Special Hazard systems or low voltage systems are a plus!
