Buyer
Buyer facilitates the timely purchase of supplies, services, and outside sub-contracting services for operations. Position is supportive to all areas of operations Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute RFQs to qualified suppliers
- Initiate and lead cost-saving initiatives
- Work with suppliers and analyze pricing in order to find cost effective solutions
- Purchase all services and supplies, including Factory Stores, through approved requisition and/or Factory Stores order report utilizing spot buy purchase orders and/or consignment and blanket purchase orders.
- All goods/services are negotiated, processed and expedited in conjunction with operations requirements.
- Reconcile A/P weekly to insure accurate/receipts.
- Enter all Purchase Orders into system and maintain files with backup information
- Expedite and track orders as necessary
- Up to 10% travel in order to meet with suppliers
Qualifications
- A minimum 3-5 years of procurement / buyer experience in a manufacturing setting
- Proven track record of accountability and achievement.
- Thorough knowledge of purchasing procedures and practices
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Must have strong computer skill (MS Excel, Power Point, Word)
US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government military contracts.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
