Electrical Estimating Director
Hybrid - 30% of Travel
The Head of Electrical Estimating leads all electrical bid development for large‑scale construction projects up to $100M, delivered nationwide. Our work centers on water and wastewater treatment facilities, large commercial buildings, light‑rail transit systems, and mission‑critical/data center electrical installations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and oversight for all electrical estimating activities, including estimate planning, quantity takeoffs, material and equipment costing, vendor/subcontractor pricing, cash‑flow modeling, and preparation of Basis of Estimate documentation.
- Establishes and enforces estimating policies, procedures, tools, and best practices aligned with company standards and competitive market expectations.
- Ensures estimating systems and workflows remain consistent, current, and compliant with internal guidelines.
- Reviews proposals and bid strategies to confirm competitiveness and profitability.
- Builds and maintains a high‑performing estimating team with appropriate staffing, training, and technical capability.
- Maintains objectivity when evaluating client budgets or target pricing.
- Participates in contract negotiations, change‑order development, and bid clarifications.
- Supports estimating efforts for joint ventures, consortiums, and teaming arrangements.
- Contributes to Bid/No‑Bid decisions.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of accurate historical cost data.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree plus 10+ years of electrical estimating experience.

Pay: $200,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year
