RTD Biosciences is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Peptide Manufacturing Technician to support the production of high-quality research-use-only (RUO) peptides. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on laboratory work and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will be for day and night shifts including possible weekends shifts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Peptide Production
- Prepare reagents, solvents, and raw materials required for peptide production.
- Operate and maintain equipment associated with manufacturing laboratory.
- Perform basic peptide compounding.
- Operate lyophilizers and support peptide drying processes.
Documentation and Compliance
- Complete batch records, manufacturing logs, and equipment records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow company SOPs, laboratory safety procedures, and quality requirements.
- Maintain data integrity and accurate documentation practices.
Equipment and Facility Maintenance
- Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
- Ensure manufacturing workspaces remain organized and compliant with housekeeping standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of consumables and notify management of replenishment needs.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly routine cleaning and sanitization of manufacturing areas.
Quality Support
- Verify materials, labels, and documentation prior to product release.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to following procedures.
- Ability to accurately complete technical documentation and records.
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety practices and chemical handling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- High-school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in peptide pharmaceutical manufacturing, or chemical manufacturing.
- Familiarity lyophilization.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, including GMP, GLP, or ISO quality systems.
- Exceptional communication skills. Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during manufacturing operations.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Manual dexterity required for laboratory procedures and equipment operation.
Work Environment
- Laboratory and manufacturing setting with exposure to chemicals, solvents, and laboratory equipment.
- Use of PPE, including gloves, lab coats, safety glasses, and other protective equipment as required.
- Fast-paced production environment requiring attention to detail and adherence to schedules.
